TheCentral Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice regarding the academic calendar 2020-21. The board has stated that an alternative academic calendar for students between Class 1 and Class 12 is being developed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Students can explore the CBSE academic calendar 2020-21The CBSE academic calendar 2020-21 will be developed by NCERT that will attain learning outcomes in a joyful manner. The upcoming CBSE academic calendar 2020-21 will focus on the ways and means to use technology to aid and facilitate this process of learning.Union Education Minister has informed that the Alternative Academic Calendar (AAC) for the next 8 weeks for the Secondary Stage was launched. 



 The Alternative Academic Calendar for 12 weeks for primary & upper primary stages and AAC for secondary & higher secondary stages for 4 weeks had already been released.He tweeted, This Calendar contains all the detailed guidelines for teachers on the use of technology & social media tools to impart education while the students are at home. 


The Calendar further aims to empower our students, teachers, school principals & parents with positive ways to deal with Covid19 via online teaching-learning resources and achieve the best possible learning outcomes."The official NCERT website reads, "In this period of Covid-19, which is declared as a global pandemic, our teachers, parents, and students have to remain at homes to prevent its spread in the community. In this situation, it is our responsibility to provide them with multiple alternative ways of learning at home through interesting activities. It is necessary because in the present environment of stress we have to not only keep our children busy but also to maintain continuity of their learning in their new classes. In this context, NCERT has developed an Alternative Academic Calendar for all the stages of school education."The state education department recently announced that all schools in Gujarat will follow centralized assessment for sessional, annual, and periodic exams across all grades from 3-12 that will be conducted by GSHSEB and GCERT. The Diwali vacation will be from November 12 to December 2. The second academic session will begin on December 3.Schools are to complete the course curriculum by March 14, 2021, following which exams will be held from March 15. The evaluation of exam papers is to be completed by March 31. The 2021-22 academic year is to begin from April 1, 2021.
