The state BJP government has announced the Kisan Suryodaya Yojana to provide electricity to millions of farmers in the state. The scheme will be unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 24th. Initially 1055 villages of Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Dahod districts will be included in this scheme and electricity will be provided to the farmers here.
The e-launch of Kisan Suryodaya Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister at Patan on Saturday to provide three-phase electricity to farmers during the day. On this occasion, Labor and Employment Cabinet Minister Dilip Kumar Thakore said that a total of 516 villages under Mehsana and Palanpur circles of North Gujarat Power Company Limited have been covered under this scheme at the primary stage. A total of 57 sub stations and 310 feeders This will provide power supply to all the villages in all the talukas of Patan district. This will benefit more than 16,350 farmers of Mehsana and Palanpur circles.
Farmers will be provided electricity for farming in the period from 5 am to 9 pm. These facilities will be provide d at a cost of crores of rupees. At present 6000 to 6500 mega electricity is available, now 11000 mega electricity will be available. Everyone will benefit in the next 2 years.

The scheme will be launched in 220 villages of Junagadh district, 143 villages of Gir Somnath district and 692 villages of Dahod district.

The state government's target for the next two and a half years is to provide electricity to all farmers on a daily basis.

A total of Rs 3,500 crore will be spent for Kisan Suryodaya Yojana. Under which 234 new transmission lines of 3 thousand 490 circuit km of 66 KV as well as 9 new substations of 220 KV will be set up. In the first phase of the scheme, farmers of Junagadh, Gir Somnath and a total of 1 thousand 55 villages of Dahod district will get benefit. The entire state will be covered in phases over the next 3 years. Thus, under Gujarat Kisan Suryoday Yojana, a total of 17.25 lakh farmers of Gujarat will get electricity during the day.
