Due to coronavirus, the government has reduced the curriculum for students studying in standard-10. A blueprint of the paper has been released to guide the students on what type of question paper to ask in the examination. Gujarat State Secondary and Higher Secondary Board has prepared model question papers for the type of question papers asked in Std. 10. These model question papers are placed here. Students will be able to learn how to prepare for the next exam and get maximum marks with the help of these model question papers. This new paper style has been announced so that the students can identify the new paper style.

Here is a model paper of social science and English subject with the help of which students can prepare for what kind of questions will be asked in the next exam in mathematics. The model question paper of mathematics will be very useful for the students of standard 10 who are going to give exams this year.

    Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will release the GSEB HSC Syllabus for the students on its official website. Due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Gujarat Board has decided to reduce the GSEB Syllabus for Class 10 by 30% .GSEB syllabus for Class 10 covers subject wise topics for Arts, Commerce and Science Stream. GSEB Syllabus is available in both Gujarati and English medium. 
      Thee syllabus is provided for the students to prepare well for the exam.Gujarat School Education Board has laid down the New and Updated Gujarat Board Syllabus 2020 for Class X & XII. GSEB Class SSC / HSC Exam is conducted in the month of February / March every year. Students appearing in Gujarat Board Exam must download the GSEB Syllabus of Std 10th and 12th before starting their exam preparation.
      On the verge of adopting the central board's format for higher secondary exams, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has changed the exam format for Classes 9 to 12. While the changes for Classes 9 and 11 will be implemented this academic year, the new format will be in place for Classes 10 and 12 from the next cycle starting in 2019.

        The board stated that National Council of Education, Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus has been introduced in Classes 9 and 11 from the current academic year and the same will be done for Classes 10 and 12 from the next cycle. They said the change in syllabus was one of the major reasons behind their decision to change the exam formats. A notification issued by the board stated that the schools have been given instructions about the changes.

For Class 10, instead of 50% multiple-choice questions (MCQ), 20% objective questions will be asked as part of the new format. The weightage of board exams will increase from 70% to 80%, which will include short, long and essay-type questions. Under the new format, 20% will be assigned to internal evaluation, which will now have 5 marks each for first-term and second-term exams, and 5 marks each for notebook submission and subject enrichment activityFor Class 11 students in the Science stream, The first and second term exams will be for 50 marks each, while the annual exams will have 80 marks.

         The new format will also replace 50% MCQs with 20% objective questions and 80 marks for short, long and essay-type questions. The total 200 marks, 50% marks (100 marks) will be annually evaluated and the remaining will be set aside. for Physics, Chemistry and Biology practicals. The marksheet will have separate entries for practicals and theory. Class 9 will follow the same format as Class 11. Students will have to score at least 33% to pass the exams.

      The board further clarified that the exam format for the General stream of Classes 11 and 12 will remain unchanged. They clarified that the format will not be affected for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams to be conducted in March 2019.
