Sanjay Kara, a trustee for BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in the UK, has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) by Her Majesty The Queen in the New Year’s Honours List for 2021.

The British Empire Medal

The British Empire Medal (formally British Empire Medal for Meritorious Service) is a British medal awarded for meritorious civil or military service worthy of recognition by the Crown. Recipients are entitled to use the post-nominal letters “BEM”.
