Education is the most important to be successful in life.  Teachers play the most important role to create and shape the future of the country and the lives of the youth.  Gurus have been a major contributor to our lives since ancient times.  We can reach the pinnacle of success only with the knowledge and guidance received from the Gurus.  Teacher's day is celebrated with enthusiasm all over the country.  On this day, teachers are honored.  Do you know why Hindi is celebrated on Teachers Day on 5 September.  Let us study through this article.

Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5 September all over India in the memory of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.  He was a great teacher as well as the first Vice President and second President of independent India.  The Guru has an important place in everyone's life and therefore it is said that:

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a great philosopher and teacher and he had a lot of passion for education, so the Government of India is given awards to students who excel in the field of education.  It is said that a Guru cannot be followed on the right path without a teacher.  They guide  That is why teachers tie students to their rules and make them good human beings and keep paving the right path.  Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that teacher is more important than birth donor because knowledge only makes a person a person, gives a life to live.

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5 September 1888 in a poor family in Tirutani village, Tamil Nadu.  Despite being financially weak, he had a lot of interest in studies.  He had his initial education at Gaudi School and Tirupati Mission School in Tiruvallur.  Then he completed his studies from Madras Christian College.  In 1916, he did his MA in Philosophy.  And did the post of Assistant Professor in the same subject at Madras Residency College.  At the age of 16, he was married to Sivakamu in 1903.  He was awarded the Bharat Samman in 1954 for his outstanding contribution to education and politics.

Let us tell you that before joining politics, he gave 40 years of his life to teaching.  He believed that a person can never reach the destination without education.  Therefore, it is very important to have a teacher in a person's life.

 After gaining independence in India, Radhakrishnan was urged by Jawaharlal Nehru to fulfill diplomatic tasks with the Soviet Union as ambassador.  He held this position till 1952 and after that he was appointed as the Vice-President.  After Rajendra Prasad's term ended in 1962, he was made the second President of India.  He died on 17 April 1975 after a long illness.
 How is Teacher's Day celebrated in India
 On this day, there are no schools, festivals, programs etc.  Teachers give gifts to their teachers.  There are many types of cultural activities in which both students and teachers participate.  The Guru-disciple pledge to uphold the tradition.

 This day is also very important for the society, meaning teachers and students.  On this day, by honoring teachers, they appreciate their work.  No doctor, engineer etc. can be made without a teacher.  Only a teacher can give real knowledge of education.

 The dates for celebrating Teacher's Day are different in different countries.  Do you know that UNESCO officially chose October 5 to celebrate 'Teacher's Day'.  Hence, it is celebrated as' Teachers' Day 'in more than 100 countries.

 In conclusion, it will not be wrong to say that the day of September 5 is celebrated not only as the birthday of Dr. Radhakrishnan, but also to awaken respect for teachers and awareness of education among people.
